Legian Beach

| Tuesday, September 20, 2011 | 0 comments

Legian beach is the second most popular tourism destination after Kuta beach. Legian is a no-holds barred beach where locals, expatriates and tourists mingle, bargain with the best, play paddle ball and football, indulge in a massage and manicure, catch up on reading, meditate, exercise. First time, Legian beach is just like another beach but give yourself a day, and an evening walk along the famous Double Six Beach, and a night in a cosy club, then you decide what you’ll do with the rest of your vacation.

Sunset is peak time at Legian Beach, when the beach bars fill up, the football field is at its busiest and the locals knock off work and wade fully clothed, skirts swirling, into the waves. Now part of the greater Kuta area, both offer quieter alternatives and a more sophisticated nightlife scene focusing on dining-out and socializing rather than full-on partying.

Since it has fewer crowds and lower tides Legian is just the perfect place to get lazy. If you’re looking for a place to stay with a limited budget, Legian is the perfect option in spite of its strategic location and is perhaps less chaotic than its neighbour Kuta, yet still gives lends a party atmosphere because some of Bali hippest bars and lounges are located in this area.
